Don't use all caps. Do look into XSLT transformations.

Can't help you there, but perhaps someone else on the forums would be willing to.

rtf logs? more like wtf logs!

Sorry, couldn't resist. I've just been assuming that Alin0Steglinski meant HTML.

I liked the old log style better too..
As well as being HTML, I liked the old set up better.
With the list of persons the chat was with in separate tray thingie on side.

I guess that was probably the only thing I don't like about the 1.0.
The rest is all nice. =-)

Why exactly do you not like the new log format?

My concern is...

Post by patiomensch »

They were easier to search using Spotlight with the older version's separate files. The individual chat files come up when you search for a certain term through Spotlight, but when you open them, it defaults to the latest chat in Adium rather than the one you've selected.

So that sounds like a bug with spotlight rather than a complaint about the format.

Have you reported this anywhere?

Well... 50/50 on that one Tick :)

It is a bug in Spotlight, but specifically our Spotlight handling because you can control how your app responds to a Spotlight invocation - see OmniOutliner's opening of the document and then searching for an example.

That explanation seems to indicate that it's still not the format, just our handling of spotlight queries and whatnot. Did I read that right?

Correct. (I just [mis]read as a bug with Spotlight in general, and wanted to clarify it was still on our side)

Ya, cool.

Do we have a trac ticket on this? Anyone know off hand?
