Adium 1.0 logging questions (MSN)

I have two small questions regarding the logging feature of Adium 1.0, compared to how things worked in 0.89
Why is it all logs pre-update have the extension ".AdiumHTMLLog" and have that nice Adium icon, yet any log created after I upgraded to 1.0 have the extension ".chatlog" and have the generic "white document" icon?
Secondly, is this a glitch or just a "feature" - if I talk to the same person twice during the same day (for example, in the morning for a few minutes, then in the evening for a few minutes), I get two log files. However, under Adium 0.89, they combined into one, so all the day's convo's were in one handy file.
I've not logged these as bugs yet, because I'm not sure if it's worth it yet!
Also, with regards to the spotlight indexing issues I've read about here...
For the record, the old logs (pre update, .AdiumHTMLLog extension) index fine on Spotlight, the new logs (post upgrade, .chatlog extension) don't seem to index at all. I'm using OSX 10.4.8 PPC
