ICQ problem: status message fails to show up correctly...

Probably not set to the right encoding? Does changing that in the preferences help at all?

..yes probably it' s the encoding set wrong. Unfortunately I can't find any entry in the Preferences to change it.

it's in preferences -> accounts -> double click the icq account -> options -> encoding. for me it's set to MacCentralEurope and the icq status messages are also displayed incorrectly (setting encoding to something else doesn't fix it).
jabber status messages work fine for me. i guess its icq which is crappy

BTW: changing the image is not saved ....
