advanced account options for your AIM/ICQ account ???

instead of a status message I get this:
(There was an error receiving this message. The buddy you are speaking with is probably using a different encoding than expected. If you know what encoding he is using, you can specify it in the advanced account options for your AIM/ICQ account.)
on an AIM-contact in my list.
unfortunately I feel like a WindowsUser looking into built in XP-Help ...
where are these options to be found in Adium??
I checked with iChat: the original message is quite a simple one "Büro hat Pause" (without quotationmarks)

BTW: I really like the app for giving me just one tool to respond to all the messenger shit formats out there.
Though one can read here more negative than good things, I guess it's all that traffic just because Adium ist nice. I write that because I don't really like to attack people who work for me and do it all for free, and I found a lot of comments in this forum that sound much like people had forgotten what it's all about.
