Hmm... unfortunately, I have no knowledge of that sort of thing, but so far it's looking great! There are quite a few people who I'm sure will be able to help you. Keep it up - it looks like it'll turn out nicely.

well the thing is
the gradient image in the background needs to be resized by javascript
its not possible for it to be there with css

resizing an image using anything is going to look like ass, your best bet is to just make a tall image, and let the window reveal more or less as the window is resized
right

i havent ever made a message style per say, but theyre just xhtml and css in which ive had plenty of experience with. feel free to pm/im/e-mail/whatever me if you have a question

i designed these msg theme w/ brian.
the problem is that we were using a gradient image that is being stretched via this style
It was taking up the whole screen, so we decided to use an iframe. We didn't know if it was possible in a message style...
now we are merely having the gradient as a bg image with a bg color to create a faux gradient.
