How do I stop focusing on the newest conversation for dock?

When there is a new conversation and Adium is unfocused, the dock icon animates. When I click on it, it focuses automatically on the conversation tab that has the most recent activity - how do I stop this tab jumping? And instead, stay focused on the last focused tab instead?
