Sametime

There seems to be several small Sametime issues with Adium. I will post all of them in process, but I believe that talking about one at a time would be more effective.

Most issues are with 2+ conferencing. Here's first. When everyone in chat sends a message it's displayed once as normal. When I send a message i see it twice. Annoying.

I used to get this problem with MSN chat, in older releases. Are you using .77?

I have been using Sametime with Adium for over 1yr and upgrade my AdiumX client with each new release.

The problem with 2+ conerencing chat has been around since the very beginning i.e. if anyone else (but me) in the chat posts a chat message it shows up just once, but if i post a message it shows up twice in the window (like an echo).

I get the same thing... kinda annoying, but no one else sees the double posts, just me. It's been around since I've been using Adium (about a year). Only seems to occur with Sametime users.

Does sametime support aliasing your name in the chatroom to something different from your user ID? When you see the double posts, do they come from two different names (both of which mean you.. for example, "tekew@jabber.org" and "Evan Schoenberg" might mean the same thing on Jabber) and if so what are the two names?

They are different, now that you mention it. I should have thought of that. One is my Alias and the other is my Sametime contextful name. ie. CN=User/OU=Group/O=Org

i have the same problem with the echo... it's not just for my account though. It appears when other people talk as well... although not for every message they send. Using b10.

It only happens in group chats, I haven't seen it in regular chats so far.

oh and for my own messages that echo, hey both show up with the same name.
