Is there a way to turn off logging for only one account? I use two AIM accounts and I'd like to be able to turn off logging on one.

Not currently, we might do this in the future though.

ok, thanks for the reply.

A slightly related question:

Is there a way to have adium display a short message when you initiate a conversation to notify the other party that the chat is being recorded?

I believe all official clients log chat, so doing so would be a bit pointless..?

Windows AIM does not; or, at least, the 5.0 series (which is still used fairly commonly) does not.

iChat doesn't either by default.

The problem is some businesses don't allow you to record the conversation unless the other party knows about it. If there was a notification that the chat was being logged, then that would solve the problem.

It would probably be possible to set up a script (or an event perhaps?) to do this.

There's a message received (initial) event, but there's no event for message sent (initial) at present.
