Hello. Can me a moron but I'm trying to load a new contact list style and the instructions are to open the Apps file and right-click the Adium icon to show package contents.

I don't know how to right-click with an Apple mouse. Tried Option-Cntrl -etc. And I don't get a folder in my Apps/Adium. Tried looking in Library as well.

Huh, well like I said I'm a moron. Please help me. It's tax deductible.

Thanks,
Allison

if you have a single button mouse, use "ctrl-click"

This works in many, many applications, and I couldn't live without it!

Woah. Where'd you see directions that involve going into the Adium.app to add a contact list style?

And, in the meantime: The correct way to install is to double click the file.

I assume it's one that includes custom status icons...

In Adim X-tras! :)
a style called Modified Seph Status Bubbles says
TO INSTALL:
1. Right-click Adium and choose "Show Package contents"
2. Navigate to Contents/Resources/Status Icons/Gems.AdiumStatusIcons/
3. Copy all files from the zip and paste them into the folder you just navigated to (click yes to replace them, if it asks you).
4. Restart Adium.

...so double clicking the app doesn't work (as that just launches it) but Ctrl-clicking the app does get me to package contents.

Having said that I did replace the files but restarting Adium didn't get the contact style skin working. I haven't tried to figure out what I am doing wrong yet.... having a bad computer day and moved on to more pressing issues!

Ah, a status icons pack! Yeah, that's not officially supported in .7x... those instructions are as good as it gets. They'll be double-click-to-install in 0.80.
