For some reason my AIM icon's quality lowers greatly, no matter how I add it. I have myself added to my buddylist, and it this is how it looks when I mouseover. I also previewed my icon with another AIM app, with the same appearance. My MSN icon shows good quality, however.

It's something the AIM protocol does if I remember right.

Wanted to add that this problem only arised with the newest version of Adium, it showed clearly before.
