I recently download a replacement dock set from AdiumXtras.com and now my dock icon doesn't bounce any more when I get new messages. If I'm in another application, and I have my sound up, then I can hear the sound of a new message when it appears, but my dock icon just doesn't bounce. I've checked my settings under the Preferences, and everything seems to be okay - it's set to:
Bounce the dock icon: Custom...
Event: Message Received
Bounce: Repeatedly
It was set exactly like this before I changed the default dock icon set for a 3rd party dock icon set, and it worked just fine back then. When working in another application, with Adium in the background, and I get a new message, the dock icon bounced until I switched over to Adium. But now, nothing... The only way I know if I get a new message is if I hear the alert sound, but I don't always have the volume up...
Has anyone else had this problem? Is it a known issue when using 3rd party dock replacement icons?
And does anyone know how I can fix this, or do I have to just go back to the default icon set?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
