Adium Gone Wacky

Hi All,

I hope someone can help me. Basically Adium has gone loopy on my g5.

It worked fine for ages, and I was using the betas without any problems.

Now all of a sudden, its barely usable.

* MSN buddy icons (set by the other person) do not work any more (shows as a butterfly), and it has some crazy power of god to cache the ones in my address book. (even tho it was set to use addressbook UNLESS they had an icon) I turned off address book images, i even deleted the persons image in my address book, but it STILL appeared with that image in Adium.

* MSN chats are EXTREMELY unstable. i always get messages about people going offline, and multi-chats are just a joke. people can't see me, i can see them, and it randomly drops out.

i have tried trashing preferences and the Adium 2.0 folder MULTIPLE TIMES, going back to the stable version, everything i can think off, and nothing helps. I even registered a new MSN account, thinking maybe the account had a problem. no joy.

i would REALLY appreciate any help or information anyone can shed on this topic.

Buddy icons aren't showing for *all* your MSN contacts? Or just some? We've gotten reports that the newest version of the MSN protocol, used by the latest Windows MSN client, isn't sending us buddy icons (or we aren't receiving them) properly.

Preferences->Advanced->Messages to turn off the tab bar being visible.

Yeah, for the last month of so I guess, MSN icons aren't showing up for people (except this one which as i said, insists on using an image it got from my address book).. However, one of the users (that same person actually) was using Adium as well (not sure of version).

Thanks, I noticed that tab bar preference just after i posted..
