Is it possible to keep Adium on the menu bar?

Is it possible to keep Adium on the menu bar?

So, is it possible to keep Adium on the menu bar (like iChat) even if the application is not running?

I tried different kinds of searches and could not find anything...

This isn't possible due to architectural limitations within Adium at this time.

you could just set your status to invisible and pull your contacts off to the side
then it will stay and you will be offline
