Export buddy list as text file?

I have pretty darn many contacts mixed up as meta-contacts.. And now that it has become time to upgrade to Adium 0.8, I thought I'd start from the ground and delete my ~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/ folder, since it has followed me for almost a year now.
So I need a way to see which contact-names are supposed to stick together. Since I dont have the knowledge to do so, could any one make an apple-script or an app that could make such a text-file? Or would it be too big a task?
I think it would be something many people would use!

Try the AIM Official Client, I believe a search will reveal what menu item it is in…

Since I use AIM, ICQ, Jabber and MSN, this isnt a viable option for me unfortunately..

Show offline contacts, open the get info window, and use the cursor keys to move up/down the list across all your contacts. The metacontacts will display as META in the info window and open the drawer showing who they contain.

But I would still have to write them down manually, which is what I dont want to do! 100+ meta-contacts would take an hour..

It's still going to take forever to reconstruct them regardless
Contact List.plist is the file that contains meta contact information.. if you open it in a text editor you should be able to make them out in there. Could always trash everything except for that file.

I threw everything away once except contact list.plist before. I had no problems with it. So just drop that back in and you'll be fine.

It doesnt display the names of the users, but I guess I could add that quickly myself. Thx, that should do just fine!

Thx for the tip! Looking at the contact list.plist, I can see there should'nt be a large change of this one getting corrupted, so I'll keep it!
