About the Away window.. it auto-returns.

Post by Fonzie »

Hi,

I don't know if this behaviour is intentional in Adium 1.0.2 but the Away window auto returns without me pressing the "Return" button. What's the point of having a "Return" button if it's only there for show ?

Or it could be that i'm blind and have missed a preference setting somewhere that allow the window to stay put ?!

Could an Adium-savy person help me ?

I'm truy sorry if this is already present on the Trac.

The return button is used to return from being away. If you have Adium set up to automatically go away after some period of idle time, then moving your mouse will automatically return you from the away status.

Preferences regarding the status window can be found in Preferences > Advanced > Status.

I understand what you say. But what if I don't want to be Available(Online) after moving my mouse ?

Are you setting yourself away manually?

No, I am letting Adium set me away after x minutes. I wish for something along the lines of iChat where it asks me if I want to be set to be Available again after having been automatic set away.

Of course I know Adium is not iChat so bare with me.
