Bonjour contacts appear when they are not connected

Sorry if this has been brought up before, I did a search and did not find anything like it.

I have two Macs on my LAN, an iMac that has Adium always running, and a PowerBook that has Adium running *very* infrequently.

Both machines are running 10.4.9 and Adium v1.0.2. The iMac is an intel machine, the PowerBook is PowerPC.

Recently I started up Adium on the PowerBook to send some text from the iMac. I logged in via a Bonjour account and sent the text from the iMac to the PowerBook.

I then quit Adium on the PowerBook and have not started it again since.

Everytime I wake the PowerBook from sleep, though, the iMac shows the PowerBook's Bonjour account as being online. I have checked and rechecked that neither Adium nor iChat is running on the PowerBook.

Logging off the iMac's Bonjour account and then logging back in again makes the PowerBook's Bonjour account disappear, but only until the next time the PowerBook is awoken from sleep.

I checked with http://www.tildesoft.com/Programs.html Bonjour Browser and the only iChat service that is showing up is from the iMac.
