How do I uninstall Adiumx and all related files? It has gone buggy on me and I want to run a fresh install. Is there a script or a program that wil do this for me? Or could someone tell me how to do this manually?

Rather than uninstall Adium, can you tell us what the problems are?

endless updates (god bless em) has created various bugs. I'm sure I'm to blame. Most annoying is the status features, which are quite broken. I have 3 'invisible' status choices, of which 2 aren't working. As a consequence of this, AdiumX won't change to 'invisible' status after 5 min of activity, as is my wish.

I searched my hdd and deleted all files named 'adium'. Let's see what happens.

Let's NOT do that. "Endless updates" don't cause problems of this nature.

Oh, sorry, too late... It fixed the status problems though.

In the meantime you lost all of your other settings too. We can generally tell you what to do to resolve issues without resorting to just a reinstall. This isn't a windows system where I'd probably agree with the uninstall (after some investigation).

In the future, when you post in forums, please follow the instructions of the person who is attempting to help you. It's frustrating to no end when someone posts that they aren't going to follow your instructions.
