Delay Login

It's highly annoying that Adium throws an error at me everytime I open up my MBP because my computer hasn't had enough time to connect to a network yet. And then of course I have to go manually make Adium sign online after my computer has had a chance to connect.
Is there a way I can set Adium to not try to log in for at least 45 seconds after I open the lid of my computer? Or at least not throw an error at me and instead just keep trying to connect in the background until a connection is active?

So.... I guess this is not possible?

Adium shouldn't be attempting to connect until the network is available.
Please use the
Adium 1.0.3 beta and post the Console.app logging which occurs when going to sleep and then waking up the computer. Please wait a bit between waking the computer so it's obvious from the time stamp when the sleep occurred. Example output from my system:
Code: Select all

Thanks for the reply! Will do!
This only happens when moving between networks, i.e., work and home, if I stay on the same network it's fine.
But I'll definitely capture that log and upload it here. Cheers!

Hrm... and it's erroring while trying to connect? Your console log indicates that the network system is saying, "Okay, we're good to go to connect to the servers!" after which adium does the connect attempt.

That's the thing though... Adium does not try to connect afterwards, it tries to connect right away, i.e., the very instant I open my computer, about 1 second later the error pops up... and OS X hasn't even connected to a network yet, I still see my little airport icon scrolling the name of the network it's connecting to... and then all my other internet services turn on.
?!?
Is there anything else I can do, i.e., more logs or anything to show you what's happening?

Indeed it is. However, patience is a virtue and if an answer can be supplied, it usually is. We all lead very hectic lives.

Hmm... sounds good. Let me know then if I can do anything else to help you track it down.
