Problem connecting to AIM (different situation than other)

Hi,

I've been having trouble connecting to AIM on Adium the past couple days. It mentioned something about a "broken pipe" and then today I got the message:

Could not connect to authentication server:
Socket is not connected

I can connect to my MSN and Yahoo accounts. I also tried to connect to AIM using iChat and another program but nothing happend.

I don't know where to start and any help would be excellent.

Have you tried changing the AIM port to 80? I had this exact problem, and changing the port number from 1560 (or whatever it was) to 80 worked for me.

Had same error of: Adium "could not connect to authentication server: Socket is not connected"

Changed the Port to 80 and works! Adium programmers were no help. Thanks for your post meganlibrarian.
