No.
Adium is a chat program, not a broadcasting program.

hehehe... someone is asking a little to much from adium. you can get something like nicecast running and post the stream address in your profile. i used to do that for awhile.

ok... it was just an idea and i kinda phrased it wrong. theres a nifty little prog called "ourtunes" and it allows you to share your music with others and i was curious if there was a way to put that ability into adium like how most clients allow you to send files, this feature would allow you to grab files from a user that gives you permission

sounds nice, but why not ask the person if they have such and such song and if they are nice, they just send it to you.
nice feature, but some what useless.
i wouldn't like it if adium became like windoze yahoo with pointless features, like a radio.

This sounds like P2P to me…
And Adium != P2P client

It's not p2p. It's more like an IRC Fserver.
My assumption:
You click Contact then go to Shared Files, and see the files the person has in their public folder (or whatever folder they have shared)...select the ones you want (if any) then download them. Actually sounds pretty cool.

Take a look at my AdiTunes script.
Maybe you can use that.
