Please Explain This Issue.

Granted I don't suffer to often with these things. But Yahoo is really becoming a pain.

Ok if you don't have yahoo, grab an account. Log the yahoo service then try to enter a chat room. Say the Macintosh room. The Command would be /join Macintosh Or /join Macintosh:1 Also you can try the Join group chat option.

Now If your able to log in. Stay in a well rounded room for approx 8 hours or more as I do. I have noticed Adium accumulates all the names entering the chat room into a Yahoo type file. Once I counted about 1000 names.

Ok so. is this what is slowing my chat service down?. logging all these names?. or is it the chat room as a whole. the 8 hours+ of chats backing up my system per-say.

All things considered, (what i just told you) is a normal day for me. I try to enter chat rooms on the yahoo server, and get laggy chat text, failed to joins, and even other users I'm chatting with (later) say they didn't see my text after I left the room and returned.

So is it me?.. or is someone disturbing my chats?. is it Adium? Or is it Yahoo. Personally I feel its users on yahoo and yahoo seeking to destroy all the hard work I have put into logging into yahoo just to see some friends I have known for many years, and Now It's getting very hard to do this.

I guess what I'm asking here. I want an admin of Adium log yahoo and try chatting in a very chatty room for about 8 hours or so and see if you get these same type of issue I do. Better yet try just logging into a chat room, or do you even know or have a room list.

I guess things where easyer for me when I was on ChitChat. Now Thats gone Adium is the only thing left and appears its doomed too.

PS. I have been in one room all day, on the yahoo servers. its one I call from the past. As i have sat there for approx 6 hours now only two people have entered and I haven't lost a connection. wow! this is wonderful.. but no chats. So it makes me think "this has to be a yahoo issue or a yahoo user issue" possibly trying to boot me?. corrupt my system?. who knows. For anyone interested its /join Hobby Lobby

I'm not going to spend 8 hours on this. Our troubleshooting steps on the trac site should mention how to create a sample, which will tell us where things are slowing down. Please follow that.
