Contact list plugins??? spiffyness+amillion

Post by monkz »

I got this idea, and I hope it hasn't already been suggested, but it would be extremely cool if I could put on the top or bottom of my contact list certain information such as
- time
- cpu usage
- itunes information
- network usage
- etc
it would look like a buddy listed but the text would change always...

could that be/has that been done???

hmm, this is nothing i would have use for.
i mean, the time is in the menubar, also the cpu and network usage can be shown by MenuMeters.
and for itunes i use the script %_artist - %_track [%_status] in my nick and it auto-updates. i also use synergy for displaying itunes track.

my guess is many people use these programs and functions, and it would not be such a great idea for the contactlist.

i don't think that adium, as an IM app, should do this. there are many other apps who were meant exactly for this...

I think everyone understands what you mean, but the question is why? What does an IM application have to do with any of those statistics? What makes a readout of your current CPU usage belong in Adium?

Besides, everyone knows the only useful system monitor is iPulse. ;)
