Help wanted: weird logging behaviour with ICQ and AIM

first of all, i'm a long term adium-user so my logs might have grown a bit in the past. i'm a big fan of the new logging as I use my logs from time to time to look things up. but since version 1.0 I notice a strange behviour of the logger, i can't explain to my self:

first of all with the introduction of the new log format, the old loggs remain untouched which causes spotlight to find only newer conversations. but since the switch, several of my contacts appear several times in the chat transcript viewer. the is one entry for their icq-account, one for the aim-account and one combined for others (i'm using several protocols for the same contacts). strangely it seems just for ICQ and AIM accounts, that adium can't group them all together. but even wore, for some contact there are also one entry for the old loggs and one for the new loggs.

But the worst thing is, that recently most of my AIM and ICQ conversations do not even logged. This seems especially the case for cross-AIM-ICQ conversations when I've a AIM-account on my ICQ-contact list or vice versa. The symptom is, that adium can't identify the online-status of the other contact and shows a question mark in the status icon (using the "drop" iconset). this is really annoying! I tried to track this down so I can write a better bug report, but simply did not have so much luck. Haven't found a way to definitely reproduce this behavior.

I've already filed this as bugs 6547,6542 and 6543 but then forgot about it. but these problems are still there and I'm still hoping for some help...
