Too many buddies on buddy list?

Whenever I get the authorization message to add a buddy, I also get a message that I have too many buddies on my buddy list. I have a little over 200, but I know that is not too much.

I mean my cousin has over 300 and whenever she added a buddy I don't remember her having any problem

Why is adium acting so odd?

What protocol and what version of Adium are you using? If it is AIM, the limit is something like 500...
