Auto reply formatting?

Post by biglittledragoon »

Hello,

I don't know when it begins, but as it get on my nerves, I ask only now… :P

Actually, when you have an auto reply the text is displayed like that:
(Auto reply)blah blah blah zing
Without a space or a line break, as it was before (and in the exemple in Adium).

So, is it possible to get the formatting back? Or, to add a line break after (Auto reply)?

Thanks,

BLD

There's definitely still a space there in the code. What message style are you using?

I'm not sure from your post: Do you see this problem in the preview chat shown in the Messages preferences?

In the preview window, the "(Auto reply)" is close to the name, at the top of the message.

But, in the Chat window, it's in the message, at the beginning, without a space.
I made some other test, and I know that the problem of space comes from the French translation (me :P , I didn't saw the blank).

BTW, it's different (and better) in the preview window. If you want to include "(Auto reply)" in the message, I think it could looks better with a line break. No?

The space isn't part of the translated string; Adium does

Code: Select all

[NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@ %@",AILocalizedString(@"(Auto reply)", nil), message]
Note the space between the two %@ symbols.

Are you saying you don't see the problem in English but you do see it in French?
