Message font sizes

The settings for the font sizes of the outgoing messages behave somehow strange:
* Everything is OK if in the Preferences, the message style font size is set to 12pt
* If this size is set to something else (e.g. 10pt), also the font size for the outgoing Messages get scaled. This may be a desired behavior
BUT:
* If I want to have consistency and set the outgoing size explicitly to 10pt, the result is some strange not really defined (smaller) font size.
* In the input text field I have the desired size, but not in the message view.
