Auto invited to group chat with MSN?

For the past couple of months I find a group chat window popping up with two other people from my contact list, once in a while, even though no one opted for a group meeting.
This incidentally happens with Pidgin as well. Is this an MSN issue or a libpurple issue?
I am using Adium 1.1.
