[msn+others?] someone adding you..

i would VERY MUCH like the option "allow and add to contactlist" when someone contacts me. now i have to remember the address and add them myself or else they won't see me online and can't sent me a message.
another possibility may be:
"allow and add to specified group"
which brings up a list where you can select one of your groups to put the contact in.

I just popped into the forum to research/request this vey feature!
We just created a bunch of new MSN accounts for some workers at my office and I got all their requests at once - and had to remember and manually enter each one to my own contact list as there's no obvious automatic way to reciprocate their requests (at least that I could find).

Yes, that would be great. Now you basically have to remember the name and add that person manually.
Same feature request for Jabber... I don't know about the others.

I needed this option as of 4 hours ago, and was surprised that 0.8 STILL hasnt gotten this option.

maybe they'll put it in on beta 6? i don't know... maybe there's a reason they haven't put this on.

It just hasn't been implemented. I would not expect to see this in 0.80 unless someone writes a patch which does it, but we will work on it for a future version.

why does it have such a low priority?

Just haven't heard any developer talk about it... doesn't seem to be something any of us need, nor is it something that is broken -- it's just something that some users find to be less than optimal. Getting .8 out the door is our current priority... it's been way too long.

okay great... still it's weird that it hasn't been there in the first place. i don't care THAT much sinc ei'm not adding people daily anymore, but it would be nice to see it appear sometime soon (cause some friggin' people have loooooooooong bad-ass addresses.... one time i had ot make a screenshot, since i couldn't remember it..

)

I'm inclined to agree with Strifer – it seems weird that this hasn't been included already since it's something that most users intuitively want to do. I've fielded several complaints from users in our office about this.

True, but you have to admit that's pretty inconvenient. Most users will never think to do that. They'll simply authorize the user and be surprised when they don't show up on their contact list.

I know, when I started up Adium for the first I had like 3-4 authorizations. I wonder who they were...
