Set British English as default dictionary for spelling?

Hey,
I seem to have to specify British English as the spelling dictionary for each individual chat window. Is there a way I can set British English as the default dictionary for spelling?

This worked for me — in System Preferences choose 'International' (top row) then in the languages list drag 'British English' to the top. (While your there you might as well remove all the languages you don't speak/use by clicking 'edit list'. )

You might need to log out and in again i'm not too sure.

Cheers tom22 that worked perfectly. I tried that days ago but I've only just noticed the change. I needed to restart. I must restart my Mac more often!
