so i have mac osX and i've had adium since like february and never had a problem with it. but yesterday i opened it as usual and it opened, but nothing happened. the buddy list didn't open. i went to preferences and there was nothing listed in the accounts section, and when i tried to re-add them, it wouldn't let me add anything. absolutely nothing worked on it. i tried uninstalling it, then reinstalling it, and it was just the same thing.
any ideas?

My guess is that you're coming from a Windows system; "reinstalling" a program is typically very different on a Mac than it is on a PC.

What version of Adium are you running? And what version of Mac OS X are you running? Have you seen any issues with other programs?

You can try quitting Adium, renaming the Home > Library > Application Support > Adium 2.0 folder to something else, say, Adium 2.0 old, and opening Adium to see if it's your preference files that are possibly corrupted.

omg thank you so much. im actually not using a windows system, im using a macbook, but i renamed the folder to adium 2.0 old and reopened it and it just worked again. not sure why... but thanks again!
