Well....I dont update because I have a stable system that works fine exept for this one page...thats not the issue. I am trying not to debate it here, but lets just say that having been dealt much pain with Apples incremental upgrades in the past, and I looked at what benefits were offered by the upgrades versus the possible problems that could occur and find that it was not worth it.

Well, obviously, you don't have a stable system and it doesn't work fine. Honestly, I've noticed performance enhancements with the incremental upgrades, and there should be no problems with them, especially if you repair permissions and close all unnecessary applications before installing the upgrade.
I HAVE ONE PROBLEM WITH GETTING A BROWSER CRASH ON ONE PAGE!!!! No stability problems anywhere else. Forget i even asked..crap i was looking for a quick fix...but just an fyi...it was a corrupted plist file. But hey...i love the msft answers i got. "what version of xp are you running? Well you should install sp2 that will fix your problem." GAG ME. I got a nick in my car...PAINT THE ENTIRE CAR. Reminds me of the time I called apple about a file corruption problem...they wanted me to reinstall the entire OS...i said..."is it ok to just install that one file?"..."ummm i guess so" It was and it worked. later...i am done.

You can't ask a question, then complain when someone tries to help, regardless of whether or not their suggestion fixes the problem. Seriously, I work tech support, and that's the #1 thing that annoys me most about callers. If you're not going to accept the fact that someone isn't going to know EXACTLY what is wrong and how to fix it on the first try from a generic problem like "this page crashes", then don't even look for help in the first place.
Software companies release updates for 2 reasons: to add features to the current version, and to fix bugs in the current version. If you're having a problem with something and you're not fully upgraded, the very first thing that anybody is going to tell you to do is to upgrade, because that fixes the problem about 80% of the time. Believe me, I have experience with that. Just because the suggestion to upgrade wasn't the solution to your problem doesn't mean it was a bad suggestion.
