I figure this should go here.

I just bought a new Mac, and I want to move EVERYTHING FROM ADIUM from my iBook to my new one. this means Keychains, settings, everything.. how would one go about doing that.

Move the ~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0 folder into the new computer's ~/Library/Application Support to keep all of your settings.

Search before posting, and this is the wrong forum.

Here's what I do:

Boot one to target mode

Make sure the new one has an account name with the same uid as the previous machine

Copy ~/ to the new machine

Voila

You can also use carbon copy to get the second machine looking the same.

Moi aussi. I think that's pretty much what the setup assistant does, it just adds a nice little user-friendly interface to the whole thing.

Which is what Mac OS X is known for: user-friendliness.
