I was using Adium some time back, and I had it set up so that when I was talking to someone using MSN, I'd see MSN emoticons, and when talking to someone on Y! I'd see the Y! emoticons, and the same for AIM. I find this particularly helpful, as that shows me if I've typed the right emoticon for the person I'm talking to.

I've come back to the fold but now I can't see how to get the emoticons to work in this fashion. Help appreciated...

never mind, it seems that downloading the AIM pack and then restarting Adium, it now does the Right Thing [tm], so I'm happy
