Chat Problem

I don't know if anyone else experiences this problem with Adium or not so yeah. Im running Leopard and the current version of Adium wouldn't allow me to sign into MSN unless I changed a few codes in Terminal. It fixed the problem with signing in but...
After about 5minutes of chatting my messages dont send, it eventually says "Some messages could not be sent" or whatever. Is this because the terminal codes or what? It's very annoying, I have to quit Adium and boot it back up every 5minutes.
Yes I have already tried uninstalling Adium.
Please help, I hate MSN Messenger on Mac.
