i was curious how to make these. can so one tell me how to make trhem and import them in?

In either case, right-click on the package (stylename.AdiumMessageStyle or whatever it is for for emoticons), and select 'show package contents'. I expect emoticons are pretty self-explanatory, although I haven't played with them myself.

For message styles, they're written in (X)HTML/CSS, with some dynamic substitutions/combinations by Adium; see the tutorial and docs for details.

Importing them in: Just double click on them and Adium will copy it to the correct directory.
