detach contact list by account

hi
i really like the new way of detaching contact lists, i always wanted to be able to do that.
since i have multiple accounts, 3 MSN accounts, 2 ICQ, 1 Yahoo, i would like to be able to sort by account, and split the menulist there.
i thought of making a group for each account. logged out on every account, and just logged in with one account, made a new group, and moved all the contacts inside that group. well, the problem was, i have like more than 1000 contacts in one of those lists (with probably 90% useless ^^ ), and when i dragged them, adium deleted all of them. ^^
on the next login, i got the messege, "theres an contact on the server but not on the contact list, do you want to add it", well and this message was like, hunderts times there.

anyway, is there an easy way, to move all the contacts to one specific group?
