Invisible to most but not all?

Hi there,

I'm wondering if there's a way outside of polygamy (multiple account login to the same service) to set up groups or individual settings for always visible to some contacts.

As have probably many, I find there are a ton of people on my list that I want to talk to - but not ALL the time - and some that i need to have access to all the time.

So Can i select 2-4 friends and always show them I am here - while setting a global status as invisible?

Thoughts? I'd rather not have to start setting up new accounts.. thanks for your help.

Sadly, we have no control over the capabilities of the IM networks we connect to. If the service doesn't support selective invisibility, it's unlikely we can make it work.

There was a feature request for ICQ to implement a visible-/invisible list such as the official client but there's no indication of any progress on this feature.

So this raises the question when we can see this feature implemented in Adium?
