export away messages?

Hey - I have about three hundred away messages in Adium, and I'd like to save them to a file. I don't really care about formats. Does anyone know how to export away messages? The saved status plist file is of course in binary and I'd rather not waste a few hours figuring out the encoding...

Also, is there any better way to organize away messages than the tiny status preferences window? Before I make a feature request, I figured I should ask.

I'm not sure if this is a standard install thing or part of the developer tools, but you can use the plutil command to read that format.
