Notifications linked to Custom states?

Post by fatcatlmz »

Hi, I think the program is pretty kick ass overall, especially considering the price tag. compliments.

that saidddd, i'd just like to make a small suggestion in terms of the user experience. it'd be really nice to have a "mute all notifications" for certain custom states, or even an option to link custom states with custom notification settings. cuz when i'm away, i'd really like that little dock icon to be muted as well.

it's entirely possible that something similar has already been integrated; if so, could someone just let me know?

thanks!

Maybe I'm missing the point of your request, but if you open the preferences for Adium and select the status tab, you can create a custom status and one of the check boxes is for "Mute Sounds."

I think the other point is that it would be great to perhaps enable sounds for certain statuses. There are times when I'm falling asleep, and I'll set my status to "Sleepy…" or something, then have to go into Preferences to to switch notification settings. It'd be nice if there was an additional component to the status dialog that allowed for a custom notification scheme to be picked. :-)
Quack!
