Hi I am new to this forum and I have some problem using Applescript in adium.
Using;
Code: Select all
tell application "Adium" to get status type of contact "user"
I don't get the same status as the main window in Adium.
The user is greyed out in main window (offline) but when using status type in apple script the result is
available ?
Also have some strange behavior using "idle time"
Is "idle time" the same thing as last seen when hovering over a contact or something else?
Using my MSN account in Adium 1.2.1 on OS X 10.5.1

I don't see this behavior. However, I don't have any MSN accounts. What happens if you specify the account and service in your script?
Code: Select all
tell application "Adium" to get the status type of the contact "user" of account "accountname" of service "servicename"

Same behaviour, however it works sometimes...
The Idle time does not return any useful info either.

Based on other posts about MSN support in Adium, I get the impression that it has some issues. I don't have an MSN account so I can't test this. If you can consistently recreate it, you should file a Trac after making sure no one else has reported it.

I cant consistently recreate it.
So I will test on another user/computer/installation and see if I can find a pattern.
