my friend is going to write a adium script but he doesnt know how to do this....How would he make it so the script knows when ever a person leaves a chat room.. Like say your on a chatroom, i need this script to read it and scan the room and know whenever somone leaves. like "Johnboy6768 has left the room" i need the script to know when somone has left the chatroom.

Anyone know?

The only way to really do this is to attach the applescript to the "Contact leaves group chat" event in preferences. Adium -> Preferences -> Events
