Whoever is in charge of dreaming that Adium will someday get audio/video conferencing abilities should take a look at OhPhoneX. I haven't tried it yet, but it's an open source OS X project, so it should be at least semi-helpful to look at their code and scratch your chin…

The command line project that OhPhoneX uses, OpenH323, is MPL (Mozilla Public License)...are there any significant differences between that and the GPL?

Even if the protocol ophonex uses were implemented in adium, it still wouldn't be able to talk to ichat&aim/msn/yahoo protocol users.

We are seriously aware that a lot of people want cam/voice. It'll happen if possible sometime in the distant future, posts like these only tend to cause frustration and excitement among forum posters.
