Mobile Away Messages

Post by WinterPhoenix »

I have scoured the settings within Adium (and searched the forum/trac) to find a solution to this, but to no avail. When he goes from online to mobile, my friend's away message stays up under his mobile icon. He also uses Adium and has tried to help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. We're both using OS X 10.5.1 and Adium 1.2.3. Any suggestions for how I can go to mobile and keep my away message up?

Thanks,

*Bump*

Anybody have any suggestions on this? It seems like it should be a really obvious solution...

Do official clients show him with a status message like this, or is it just Adium/Pidgin?

Is he still logged into Adium and away when he goes mobile?

I feel really stupid. Sorry for bothering you, Zac. Apparently when he had the message up, it wasn't an away message. It was an available status message. When I quit adium (or closed the lid of my laptop while on adium, as it usually was) I had an away message up instead of an idle message. Setting an idle message works just fine. And for the record yes, it did also display in iChat.
