Adding ICQ users then they vanish

Post by Web Works »

One of the problems that i find with adium is that currently i have a bout 200-300 icq users on my list and when i start to add new users, say another 100 users and then restart adium about 10-20 of the original 100 show up and i have to go back and re-add my users.

Anyone any idea why this is happening?

So only 10-20 users total show up when you start Adium?
The duck still burns.

Yes in the group i just added say 100 users too then when i restart adium there will be only 20 showing in the group.
When adding these users they always show up as an ICQ number, i open the chat dialog with the user and the name then changes as it updates the alias, i was thinking maybe these newly added users vanish if they are not authorized yet?

I have also noticed on one of my other ICQ numbers that does not yet reach the limit of 1000 contacts it won't let me add anymore to that ICQ number.

When did ICQ reach a limit of 1000 users? I thought it was way lower..
