Whenever I select the option to hide my contact list on the screen edges it never works, I don't even know if this option is what I want, I wanna be able to have my contact list hidden on any side of my screen like I can hide my dock, and then when I move my mouse over there it comes out, just like the dock.

Am I doing something wrong?

That should do what you want; you made sure the contact list was "snapped" to the side of the screen?
