MySpace IM question

Hey, I am using Adium with my Intel based iMac and a lot of my MySpace IM buddies don't seem to show up as being on to chat, even when I can see that they are online through MySpace. I thought maybe that they either were not set up to IM through MySpace, or that they somehow had a block on, but it is all but one friend, and another friend actually IM me the other day and it came through, but I was not able to respond to them. I don't really get it, why nobody is accessable to me, since I thought this program was supposed to allow me to IM with people on MySpace. Anyone else come across this?

Are you signed in with your myspace account in Adium?

Yes, as far as I can tell, I am logged in. I can see at least one of my friends and chat with them. Another friend tried to chat with me and it came through Adium from their MySpace username, but I could not reply and it did not show in my Adium buddy list that they were on, although their MySpace page showed them as online. I just don't quite get it. Although, now that I think about it, when I chat with the one friend, even though the chat goes to their MySpace username, they are not shown on their MySpace page as being online, so they are not actualy logged into MySpace. Maybe their is something else I need to do? Not real sure.
