At first I thought that it was due to the MSN network and that it was affecting my contacts too, but in fact only (some of) my messages are not sent and silently fail.
This is VERY ANNOYING as I have to contently guess if a message was really sent.
Is is also a BIS SOURCE OF ARGUING with my contact because missing messages create misunderstandings in the conversation.


I cannot chat properly under those conditions, THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE

I haven't seen this before, but if a message is lost, do all messages until you reopen the window get lost as well? If so, that might be indicative of an MSN bug that I thought was fixed in a recent version of libpurple.

Overall, though—our current MSN implementation sucks. Eventually (sigh), we'll be shifting over to the fruitful land of MSN P14/15 where everything is made of gold and the world is perfect, lands are peaceful and the merry children frolic in the countryside.

I made some changes :

Port : 1865 (default i think)
Connect via HTTP : yes

And now i get all possible errors saying my messages couldn't be sent, also I am unable to connect again without HTTP.

Sometimes it works fine bu tmost of the time I lose like 90% of my messages, preventing me from answering my contacts, conversation is just impossible !
What can I do ? When will MSN P14/15 be implememntted ? is the beta more stable ?

Sounds like you have a more severe instance of this problem but we wrote a plugin to address the problem of silently dropped messages:

Having the same problem. Incredibly irritating.
