Hi - finding this a bit frustrating...whenever someone sends me a pdf, adium creates a preview of the pdf in the chat window as a png. When I drag it to my desktop, it stays a png. How do I keep the original PDF???
I'm on Mac OSX

Because not all AIM clients can support PDFs within chats, and because there is no way to tell in advance, PDFs are converted to PNG or JPEG before sending within a chat. Have your contact send using the Send File feature to keep the full PDF intact rather than just the image of its first page.
