People using Microsoft MSN can't see my custom emoticons

Post by strangetml »

I created my own emoticons successfully by referring to http://forums.cocoaforge.com/viewtopic. ... e+emoticon
I can send out the custom emoticons and normally displayed(I can see them)
However, friends using windows microsoft live MSN can't see my emoticons. They can only see the string I use to define emoticons or those default sets of emoticons, but mostly only MSN set and DEFAULTS set can normally display on their MSNs
Even though I use those download from Adium's webiste, same problem happened as my own set of emot.
What happened?? :???: :???: :???:

custom emoticons will not work with msn its that simple, we can see them, but we cant send them, the only way custom emoticons work is from adium to adium (using the msn protocol that is)

This will be supported in the future but probably not in adium 1.3 since nobody have done the ui interface for it yet.

Read these for more info:
