Limit Growl Contact Sign-On Notifications?

Hi,

I love having Growl tell me when my AIM, Yahoo!, or .Mac buddies sign on. I also think it's sweet that I can talk to my Gmail and (as of today) Facebook friends in Adium, but I don't really want Growl telling me when these people sign on since they come and go so frequently. Is there any way to tell Growl to just notify me when my AIM, Yahoo!, and .Mac buddies sign on without getting notifications for Gmail and Facebook? Thanks!

You can disable growl notifications for everyone in Adium system preferences. Then control-click/right-click on the user in the contact list and select "Get Info". In the window that pops up you can select the events pane and assign events just to that user.

Also, if you keep your AIM, Yahoo, and .Mac (err, Mobile Me now I guess) contacts in a different "Group," you can assign "Contact Signed on" notifications for them and leave the GMail/Facebook groups alone.

Rather than setting an event action for every contact you want the notification for, Get Info on the particular group and set the action.
